On a night when underclassmen played pivotal roles, none was as luminous as Chicago Christian sophomore Emily Workman. The setter engineered the Knights’ offense with a team-high 16 assists while scorching Timothy with 6 aces on the service line.

“There’s always been a freshman that, skill-wise, could be on varsity and contribute,” Coach Garcia said. “Last year it was Emily. She was thrown into the fire leading this team and running the offense, and she’s done a great job.”
